Leave It Leash founder, Cheryl Eckert, is an Emmy award and Guild award winning celebrity hairstylist who has worked with some of the most celebrated people in the entertainment field. She started her whirlwind of amazing hairstyling in the Windy City of Chicago. Styling hair for her modeling friends marked the beginning of her career. Cheryl then followed her passion and moved to Hollywood, where her strong desire, ambition and motivation afforded her the ability to join the IATSE Local 706 Make-up Artist and Hair Styling Guild. Cheryl has achieved one Emmy win & one Guild award win and 9x nominated for Best Contemporary, Best Outstanding & Best Period Hair.

Cheryl’s extensive experience working with A-list celebrities and her dedication to her craft have led her to become Journeyman Department Head of Hair, overseeing films, TV shows, commercials, and print work.

Cheryl says that the key to success is “a creative spirit, a keen eye along with a technical expertise and the will to experiment.”

•  Cheryl is most of all an animal lover and has a dog named Lola who she loves and adores. This love and adoration is what led her to see the need for the creation of the Leave It Leash, to help combat the challenges during dog walks. Cheryl knew there can be stressors during the dog walks; from dogs needing to quench their thirst, to unwanted off-leash dog encounters. With the 14ft water spray range it may assist in creating space between dogs that are overly curious or aggressive, offering the possibility for safer and easier dog walks for you and your pet.
